James Riordan
Mr. Riordan has over 30 years experience in the areas of institutional investment and operations management.
Prior to his role as Managing Member of Criterion Holdings, LLC, he served as (interim) Chief Operating Officer of GLP Development and was previously a Principal with Lubert-Adler Partners, L.P., a Philadelphia-based family of real estate opportunity investment funds.
With Lubert-Adler, Mr. Riordan had overall responsibility for investment management, acquisitions, and strategic planning for the funds’ portfolio holdings in the greater Baltimore region, along with select investments in Virginia, Florida, New England, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.
He directed, conceived and managed several specialized investment platforms, including transit village assemblages. Additionally, he acquired and disposed of over 15,000 multifamily units in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor between 2002 and 2012.
Before joining Lubert-Adler in 2002, Mr. Riordan was Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager with LaSalle Investment Management (successor to Alex. Brown Kleinwort Benson Realty Advisors), a global real estate investment advisor, and focused on separate account management, with a specialty in national, core and value-add industrial and office mandates.
Prior to that, he was a Limited Partner with LCOR, Inc. (formerly The Linpro Company), where he specialized in industrial, flex and office properties in Delaware and New Jersey. He also worked for the Capital Markets Group of Chemical Bank and the investment banking firm of L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin. Mr. Riordan holds a BA from Hamilton College.
Peter K. Knights
Peter Knights, “PK”, is a founding member of Criterion and also serves as the managing member of ICON Alliances, a New Hampshire-based company that assembles “best-in-class” teams to create, finance, design and entitle developable properties.
ICON utilizes state of the art techniques in planning, including “Smart Growth” principles, providing sustainable solutions for development projects. ICON builds teams that consist of experienced partners and professionals who individually and collectively have records of producing unparalleled results from inception to build out. PK has partnered with affiliates to develop over 700,000 square feet of commercial property, over 1,000 residential units and over a 1,000 hotel rooms throughout New England, Florida, and NH.
Formerly in the ski business, Knights had numerous distribution companies. A graduate of the University of Vermont, PK lives in Hanover NH.
Larry Mohr
Managing Director – Criterion Senior Living
Mr. Mohr has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of institutional investment and portfolio asset management.
Prior to his role as Managing Director of Criterion Holdings, LLC, he served as Senior Vice President – Senior Housing with HCP, a diversified healthcare REIT based in Irvine, CA. As SVP, Larry led the asset management platform and operator engagement for the Senior Housing division, transitioning asset management from NNN oversight to an actively engaged JV investment capability with portfolio operators and investors. The portfolio included 450 ($8B) private pay residential communities located throughout the U.S.
Prior to HCP Larry was Director/Territory head for BlackRock Realty where he led the asset management and property level investment performance for a $5B equity real estate portfolio located across the SW U.S. Property types included apartments, urban mixed use, retail, office, and distribution warehouse involving both existing and ground-up development projects. Clients included core separate accounts and BLK-sponsored core-plus and value added funds.
Prior to BlackRock, Larry was with Means-Knaus Partners, LLC, as their Managing Director – West Coast as well as 15 years with GE Capital Real Estate in various leadership roles involved with debt and equity financing, managing JV and GE owned portfolios, and managing national accounts client relationships.
Larry holds a MBA from the University of Iowa and a BS, Business Administration from Truman State University.
Larry, along with his wife and two children, currently resides in Newport Beach, CA.
